Target Audience

SuperMart warehouse/ Distribution facility employees are the target audience.

Challenges

  • Redesigning of Legacy suite of applications

  • Understanding the current state of applications and noting the new feature changes from SMEs

  • Creating a design system guide for the engineering teams

  • Take account of Blazor - DevExpress UI component while designing

Design Process

Research Conducted

  • Interviews were conducted with Enterprise stakeholders and SME's.

  • Contextual interviews were conducted with Distribution facility operation managers to understand their current feature flows.

  • UserZoom tool was used to conduct remote user interviews.

  • UX Research reports captured the pain points of PowerBuilder applications and recommendations to solve usability issues

Problem Statement

Usability Testing

Key takeaways

  • Positive initial impressions.

  • Participants showed a quick understanding of the information presented.

  • Most participants were confident in what actions to take to complete a certain task. Users do rely on their muscle memory to perform tasks.

Things to look into

  • Have a notification banner letting the user know the action was performed successfully.

  • Multiple tab support, since users will be accessing multiple applications simultaneously.

  • Try prioritizing the data grid columns since the user looks for certain columns e.g. Load ID column.
